Our history:

In 2004, the “ Enforcers” and Otis
expanded their partnership with mentors from
General Electric Consumer & Industrial Systems,
UTC’s Sikorsky, and ebm-papst, Inc. In addition to
constructive robotics, Team 178 and Otis took on
the task of generating awareness of science and
technology in the minds of young children. As a
result, the Dream FIRST initiative was born.

Dream FIRST was developed for use by
elementary schools, students and FIRST Robotics
teams. It includes many components, such as a series of books,
music, educational toys, activities and the lovable
anime version of Team 178’s original robot,
Gizmo as a mascot. Founded with the core philosophy that
"Every great creation starts with a dream", Dream
FIRST aspires to be a catalyst in the lives of young
children.

In the summer of 2006, Otis generously
committed itself to this case, becoming the founding sponsor for
Dream FIRST. Team 178 thanks Otis for making
this dream a reality.
