A look into the Dream first characters:
Gizmo:
Inquisitive, always has a question. He likes to make friends. He is always curious about something, and he is very playful. He likes spending time with his friends Euki and Oliver, and has fun spending time with the robotics team. Since no one knows why Gizmo was built (except me! J) there is a certain air of mystery about him. He is strangely empathic, instinctively knowing when somebody isn’t happy. He also has a strange knack for saying just the right things. He likes to help people, and isn’t afraid to do whatever has to be done to make things better. He also doesn’t know a whole lot about people, and may not understand some things that we take for granted. Due to his innocence in such matters, he is a source of comic relief. Always bright and cheery, he is an optimist. Gizmo also is a loyal friend evidenced by the way he rushed to the rescue of his friends. He did so in a manner that gave the air he would do anything for Euki and Oliver.
Euki:

Older sister of Oliver, and as such is very protective of him. She often ends up being the voice of reason, helping Oliver in his decisions, somewhat as a guiding figure. She enjoys building anything, and really likes the work shop at 525. One of her main drives is to get better and better at building things, and eventually become the best she can be. She is very blunt on occasion, and isn’t afraid to speak her mind. She also isn’t afraid to ask for help, if she thinks that she may need it. She is also patient, a byproduct of caring for Oliver most of the time. She also has a crush on Spencer in the book. She is similar to Gizmo in how she is curious, and outgoing. She always shows confidence, even if it is just a front to keep Oliver from worrying. She is in fact like Gizmo, but lacks most of the child-like aspects, as though she has one foot in her childhood and the other in adulthood. She is more likely to think of something from someone else’s point of view than Oliver is.
Oliver:

Oliver is the younger brother of Euki, and he really likes computers. In fact, he has the greatest potential of the three characters, and could be very successful. However, his lack of confidence in his own skills among other fears prevents him from getting as good as he could be. As it is, Oliver is very shy, afraid of rejection especially when he meets new people. Overall, he seems to be very shy with everyone except for his sister, keeping quiet and not sharing what he has to say for lack of confidence. As he spends more and more time with the robotics team, we will see him start to come out of his shell. Unlike Euki, he prefers not to ask for the assistance of others, feeling a need to prove his worth. However, this can end up getting him into a bit of trouble. He is at times protective of his sister, and if the situation calls for it, he has to the potential to come up with a quick solution. He is flourishing due to his time with the robotics team, but has only gained a little confidence.
